Grant, never one to keep off the tubes, even while moving, fired me a link today in response to yesterdays post. It’s a whitepaper from Microsoft showing the energy efficiencies of running Windows Server 2008 virtualised. The link to the original post (and whitepaper) is here and you can read it for yourself.
It is quite interesting and goes against my hypothesis that virtualised servers would guzzle more gas than a single server instance.
