There was a problem with my RSS redirect from blogger to distributedlife.com. It is partially fixed but not completely. Using the inbuilt blogger redirects means that users are required to click “Yes I want to be redirected” when visiting the blogger site. This is sort of ok. Sure it defeats the purpose of a HTTP redirect but whatever.
The primary problem is that the RSS feed is also asked this question. This will cause RSS readers to fail because the document at the end of the URI is a HTML page not an RSS document.
To fix this problem I may have to manually force the redirect as documented here. I haven’t had a chance to test whether it will work but will give it a go in a few days. Thankfully I only have a handful of readers and this isn’t a major issue yet.
Apologies to all nonetheless.
note: I am aware that the only people who will read this are those that have already wondered why there have been no posts of late and have manually updated their feed.
