Well Cadel Evans hasn’t won. For those that don’t follow cycling, traditionally, attacks for the lead jersey don’t occur on the final day. Still, in my opinion, Cadel has done Australia proud.

It is frustrating as a sports fan to see your man/woman/hero come in second, especially so if one of your dearest friends lives and loves Espana, but it’s not your race nor is it your life.

All that being said, Cadel Evans I thank you for representing yourself and Australia. You’ve done us all proud and if you try again next year, I will be there cheering you on, just like last year, just like this year.
