A friend at work used the following analogy when describing Agile:
You can spend four days lining up for a shot only to fire and have the wind blow the arrow off course. But if you make small incremental adjustments after firing you can counter the wind and end up closer to your target.
I’m not anti-agile, but the solution for waterfall projects is simple. Control the universe and there won’t be any wind.
